eBay Groups - What you need to know
The eBay Groups technology will allow for eBay members to gather and discuss common interests. The technology will offer discussion boards, an events calendar, announcement boards, polling capability, and a place to upload images, as well as many other features. Where is this going to be available on eBay? The eBay Groups technology will be listed off of the site map, in the Community area, as well as listed on the Community Overview page, in the "People" stamp. When is this launching? The technology launched on Monday of this week, and is currently available. How can I find a group that I am interested in? We will launch with 4 different categories of groups for you to choose from: Collectors Clubs, Sellers Groups, Regional Groups and Special interest groups. We will also have a 5th category, News & Announcements that eBay will set up, and be able to communicate with you, if you choose to sign up for those groups. Who can create a group and become a Group Leader? Any eBay member with 50 feedback and registered on the site for at least 90 days can become a Group Leader. A Group Leader can also appoint Moderators within the group, to help with the day-to-day management of the group Who can join a group? Anyone that is registered on eBay can join a public group. In order to become part of a "private" group, you must either be invited in, or submit a request to the group leader. |
